"Having worked with Laura before we knew her voice would elevate the whole app, and it did, it made it so, so much better. Delivered on time and on budget. Can't wait to record more."

About Laura

Chicken Run — Aardman Animations

I began my career as an actor, training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. During my time in Bristol, I worked with Nick Park and Peter Lord on Chicken Run, voicing additional chicken characters and recording guide tracks for Julia Sawalha and Jane Horrocks. It turned out I was quite good at impersonating them!

London Emirates Air Line cable car

My voice work went on to include the original announcements for the London Olympic cable car — the Emirates Air Line across the Thames, opened for the 2012 Games.

From there, wildlife documentaries for BBC Studios Natural History — narrating nature films, factual series and digital content for one of the world's most iconic natural history brands.

Alongside that, drama and readings for BBC Radio 4, plus a growing portfolio of radio ads and commercial narration.

I took a break from acting to have a family and re train as a speech and language therapist and began working with people who had experienced brain injury.

Today, I balance my time between family life, voice acting, our family production company, and developing voice therapy as my specialist area within speech and language therapy.

Whether I'm helping someone find their voice or bringing a story to life, this is the work that makes me happy.
